Hinge Kit Description HUK-1 - HUK-6
            Originally developed to 
	address a flutter issue on the 3.1 super extra (no longer a problem) this 
	kit was also found to be a great upgrade to any Composite-ARF that uses a 
	brass / aluminum hinge pin. 
            Sheet metal style self 
	retaining bushings are inserted into the phenolic hinge plates in the 
	Stabilizer and Vertical fin (this requires drilling with a special drill 
	provided in the kit).
            The hinge pin is replaced 
	with a Stainless Steel tube and this is perhaps the most valuable part of 
	the upgrade kit.  The brass rudder tube over time has shown a tendency to 
	deform slightly, especially if the phenolic has started to wear.  The 
	stainless steel tube will never bend or deform in use and will last the life 
	of the model.  The Stainless Steel tube is also the preferred material to 
	work in conjunction with the bearings in the kit.
            Additionally, we have come 
	up with a unique method of retaining the hinge assembly.  One end of the 
	tube has a socket head and cap screw and washer fixed to it while the 
	opposite end has a threaded rod protruding from it.  Now you can insert the 
	pin, hold one end with a 3mm Allen wrench and a washer and a nyloc nut fixes 
	the pin in the completed assembly.  This has the advantage of allowing 
	disassembly of the control surfaces at any time.
                
	We have just added the "Bearing Only" Kit.  It consists of 15 bearings 
	and the correct drill bit to enlarge the bearing holes with.
